THE SECRET OF BEING TRIUMPHANT

Ummm, I see how eager we are to know the secret of being triumphant. That is alright. Let’s take a brief study together.

…and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it...Matt. 16:18 (NIV).

Reading through Matthew 16:13-19, Christ asked His disciples who people said He was. After series of hilarious answers, Christ then asked His disciples, “who do you say I am”. Peter, by a revelation from God (the Father of Light), gave Him a mind blowing response. He said, “You are Christ the son of the living God”.

Let me ask the same question; who is Jesus? I can imagine various answers like Jesus is the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Prince of Peace, Adonai, Lily of the Valley. AWESOME! But let’s push it a little further; where did you get that from? Your pastor, books, sermon, films, social media, friends, or………? Again, I ask, who do you say Jesus is? What revelation of Jesus have you caught?

Checking out Jesus response to Peter, He said, “…this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven”. (Matt 16:1)7. God reveals His son to us. Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ also prayed for the saints at Ephesus, he said ”…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him” (Eph 1:17). When we know the son Jesus Christ, we know the father God because “Christ is the express image of God”. (Heb 1:3).
“…and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it” (Matt 16:18). Church signifies the body of Christ, you and I. Rock signifies Christ. “…and that rock was Christ” (1 Cor !0:4). Simply put, the secret of being triumphant is Christ.
For us to be triumphant, we can only be built on Christ. Gates of hades, failure, sickness, opposition, afflictions, spiritual poverty cannot overcome us if and only if we are built on Christ the rock. You want to be a triumphant woman? You want to live triumphantly? It’s very simple, KNOW CHRIST! Not just the Sunday messages or the religious recitations of Christ names, not just the letters or logos, I mean RHEMA! The kind that takes you in real worship to God; the kind of revelation that sets your soul on fire and reveals the holiness of God to you. This kind of revelation will never leave you the same again.
My dear sister, it’s not about the amount of scriptures you can quote, or the amount of tongues you can speak, it’s about the light of God that has flooded your heart with revelation of Christ. No wonder Paul said “…that I may know Him” that’s deep!. You can’t know Christ and remain the same again. NEVER! Probably you have been struggling with your spiritual growth and it seems like you are not growing, go to God with humility of heart and pray the same prayer that Paul prayed for the saints in Ephesus. (Ephesians 1:17-18)
In this dispensation, a lot of things are happening around the world, knowing God keeps us strong. Many Christians are being tossed here and there because they don’t know Christ for themselves. Come to God, He will show you great and mighty things about Himself, He will reveal His son to you by His spirit. Seek after Him with your whole heart, He promises that you will find Him (Jer 29:13). Draw near to Him, He is waiting. Don’t be carried away by the events of the world. He loves you and He longs for your fellowship with Him.
ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS…THE SECRET OF BEING TRIUMPHANT IS CHRIST!

PURSUE AFTER GOD

Text: Psalms 132:1-8

Would you like to know one of the reasons why God loved David?...I believe it was because David got hold of something that was of greatest importance to God's heart.

Psalms 132:4-5 "I will allow no sleep to my eyes, no slumber to my eyelids, till I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob." NIV

Psalms 132:8 "Arise, O Lord, and come to your resting place, you and the ark of your might" NIV

David was talking about bringing the ark of God which signifies God's presence to Jerusalem. He pursued this so much with all his heart. He was an ardent seeker of God. Of a truth, he was a man after God's heart.

Well then, how does this relate to us? It relates to us so much. We should always desire and pursue after being 'a woman after God's heart'. To do this, just like David, we should be an ardent seeker of Jesus and bring Him back to the centrepiece of our heart. Jesus should be at the centrepiece of every aspect of our life. Quitting self righteousness and surrendering to God's Righteousness which Christ has brought is the substance we need.  No matter how hard we try, only Jesus can help us. God has put everything in subjection under Jesus,

Hebrews 2:8 "...and put everything under his feet. In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him." NIV

Looking to the finished work of Christ will make us to be the TRIUMPHANT WOMAN that God has planned for us.

AND GOD SHOWED UP

There are seasons in our lives when it seems like God is not interested in our situations.

It seems like God is not aware of what we are going through.

We cry and wonder...also we mutter...WHERE IS GOD? DOES GOD LOVE ME? DOES HE EVEN EXIST?

Little did we know that all God required from us was just a little patience, trusting in Him more than we have ever done and pouring our hearts to Him.

Although, it may look to us as He is not responding...but never mind, just a little more focus...set your gaze on Him!

And just in a moment, when you least expected...SUDDENLY! GOD SHOWS UP...

You know that scripture that says; "To Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us" Ephesians 3:20

Joyfully, we begin to realise God's unceasing love to us; we recollect that God had actually been there all the while helping us! But we had been too blind to see because we often forget that God's ways are not our ways and His plans are not our plans as long as we are still imperfect...THAT MAKES HIM GOD

A TRIUMPHANT WOMAN trusts in God at every journey of her life...she depends and wait for God's leading and direction...

So, journey with me this New Year 2015 as God showers grace on us, teaches us and helps us to live more triumphantly as we consciously learn PATIENCE from Him...

NOTE: We will not just learn patience, we will also walk in it…GRAND 2015 ahead!
